it is sunday, october 28th. i am claudine wong. >> i am mike mibach. >> how abouthe giants. they could win the world series today. maybe you want to get outside. we will check in with rosemary. good morning, rosemary. >> good morning to you. >> another beautiful day for you. we are waking up with a bill bit of patchy fog and see breeze will be stronger before mid week for halloween. possibility of showers in the forecast. i will show you a timeline on the rain and numbers for you coming up. well the giants chalked up another win. game three is in the books. and they are looking to win it all tonight. >> that ends it! they take a 3-0 lead. >> they are in position for a four game sweep of the detroit tigers. they scored the only two runs in the second inning.

now with more. allie? >> reporter: this is where they will set up a 14-foot tall screen, right where you see the people standing here. they are in charge of assembling that giant screen that is going to go up. you will start to see them doing the work in the next hour or so. it is a big process. but the screen is broadcasting game four of the world series. you can see, there are a couple of fans out here. they came out early to secure a good spot. everybody we have drunks. >> reporter: they took the bart in from union city. they have been here ever since. one brother is wearing a panda hat. the other is a horse mask. that is for of starting pitcher matt cain. >> the postseason turned around. they are surprised especially the tigers. but they really turned the team around. they are pitching.

series games at 4:30. right after the giants, and the dallas cowboy football game. what led to a deadly shooting t happened at 1:30 at the broken wheel cocktail lounge. it is on main street and hill avenue. they say the victim was found outside the bar. he was shot multiple times. he was rushed to the southern delta hospital and later died. investigators are still looking for the gunman. >> they are looking for whoever opened fire in a halloween party. it happened near marina boulevard, the owner of an auto body business threw a cocktail party for hundreds of his friends but later in the night, unwelcome guests showed up and started a fight. >> there was an altercation in the parking lot of the business where the party was being held. a suspect pulled out a gun and

shot people that were involved in the party. >> the men were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. anyone with information is being asked to call police. tsunami advisory is in place for several parts of california and after it happened in hawaii. they went off on coastal areas in oahu after it was downgraded to an advisory a few hours later. the big ewaves sighted was 5 feet near maui and it was 15 minutes after the warning went into effect. >> it is appropriate for them to go home. we are doing things to make sure it is safe for them to go home. >> california advisory was much administered near the lala point. the earthquake that triggered the warnings was a 7.7. it hit off the west coast of canada. no damage from the quake.

they say this is the largest earthquake in canada since 1949. several flights in and out of the bay area have been canceled thanks to hurricane sandy. more cancellations are likely. people are told to moved to higher ground. it comes after hurricane sandy merged with two other winter storm systems and this is what they are calling a very dangerous storm. >> cristina mendonsaie has -- chris chrisie, the governor has ordered a state of emergency. >> forecasters expect the storm to make landfall sometime tomorrow night or tuesday morning. it could lead to prolonged power outages for millions of people. it is already kicking up wind and rain in north carolina. people are filling up sandbags to protect homes. families are stocking up on

emergency supplies. east coast airports are prepared for problems and that could have a rule effect across the country. >> they are on the way to the east coast to help with the storm efforts. three volunteers from the san jose chapter got on a flight and they will drive to new jersey. >> 600 volunteers are being sent from across the country. they will help with people who are in need of shelter and medical attention. >> it is amazing and very humbling. they are so happy to see the red cross when one of the vehicles drives in. and the people's faces just light up. >> volume untears are expected to stay p at east coast for close to three weeks depending on the outcome of that storm. >> all right. time is 7:08. it was a beautiful day yesterday. >> gorgeous. >> the rain is coming. but maybe we are in store for one more nice day, couple more? >> yes, if you liked yesterday, you should like today. temperatures will be above

here. it is easy to see the ridge. watch as we progress into early next week. it shifts east and here comes the storm once again. it is going to hit us in time for halloween. rain over the north bay. this is definitely the favorite spot. we move through the evening hours and it is going to slip across the bay area. this is the least chance of scattered showers. and north bay will be the best chance. and right around the central bay area. we will see scattered showers. afternoon highs for today. 72. 72 for sausalito and for the east bay. even a few 80s out there for the east bay. 80 degrees for livermore. 80 for antioch and 77 for you. midst 70s in santa cruz. and gorgeous weather in santa cruz and redwood city. >> another nice mild to warm day in san fran. a look at the game four.

. live look there. 77 degrees in oakland. another pleasant afternoon. we are almost a week away from the presidential election and people are taking advantage of early voting this year. in atlanta, georgia they stood in long lines while folks on line said they were shocked. poll workers expected e turnout. >> early voting ends on friday. in florida, half of voters are expected to take advantage of early voting. both president obama and mitt romney are encouraging early voting but where hurricane sandy is going to hit, they are

expecting a much lower early voting turnout. both the president and challenger mitt romney are canceling campaign stops in virginia. instead of appearing in virginia. he is headed back to ohio. ho canceled his stops and will also stop in ohio and florida before heading back to the white house to monitor the storm. >> he has led a key role for many years. but this year. typically both democrats and republicans are riding on that decision. both the president and mitt romney are neck and neck and they made more than a dozen stops to the state. >> they have been traveling to the buckeye states to get the last votes. >> this is a big deal. we are not picking a president for four years here. we are choosing a path for this country that will last a generation. >> mitt romney will stay in

ohio until tuesday and bill clinton will be in ohio tomorrow afternoon. california voters are tolerant of people who are in the country illegally. it comes after they voted to stop undocumented immigrants from using public schools and hospitals. it may be the growing much number of latinos who make up the voters. >> they are tough when it comes to border security. >> the of daughter. marco reason yo is recovering following an accident. he was notified about an accident yesterday while at a rally with the presidential candidate mitt romney. the family friend said she was a passenger in a golf cart that was involved in a crash in a private gated community. she was airlifted to the hospital with a head injury. >> she is doing better. she is talking. and the whole family is next to her. >> doctors say it appeared she suffered a concussion. she could be released from the

hospital today. >> vice-president joe boyd depp and president and mitt romney gave the family a call expressing condolences. they have been shooting at cars and injured a fan on the way to the world series. he was traveling from grand rapids to detroit to watch game three of the world series. the bullet went right through his car door. at least 24 similar shootings have been reported since october 16th. this is the first victim to be injured. they gathered to say good-bye to a young girl who place say was killed by two brothers. it was standing room only at the church where the of death of autumn pauale touched lives. she was found dead inside a recycling bin. two brothers are arrested. one of the teens lured autumn in their home to trade bmx parts. she was later found dead after a massive search by police. a new york city nancy

accused of stabbing two young children is in a medically induced coma. her injuries were caused by self already inflicted wounds. no charges have been filed against her. the nanny worked for the family for two years and recently run into financial trouble. a memorial is now growing outside the apartment building. the motive is still under investigation. >> seven passengers on their way to a party in the hollywood hills took a detour. >> they were in a town car where the driver rammed a parked car earlier yesterday morning and both cars fell 0 feet down into an apartment complex courtyard. all seven people were hurt. a few did have broken bones. the driver thought he was he in reverse. >> they are searching for three missing people after a supermarket collapse. the roof caved in after age jaysment building fell on top of the roof. five people were killed and 17 others were hurt.

investigators say it was caused by illegal construction work on the billing next door. >> people living in a las vegas neighborhood are looking for a serial cat killer. >> a woman who looks after a number of cats recently noticed that the cats were dying one by one. >> more than a dozen cats loves their lives. they died of antifreeze poisoning. >> neighbors, concerned citizens and mal rights activists are rallying to stop the killings. >> these ann have not hurt anybody and -- these animals have not hurt anybody. >> who could be behind someone so terrible. they are offering a reward for the person or people responsible for killing the cats. well, a pig problem is plaguing america's fastest highway. state highway 130 in texas has a 85 miles an hour speed limit and it opened on wednesday. but that highway is in a rural

. oakland is looking to build on jacksonville's win. this afternoon's game is at 1:05. >> the 49ers are getting ready to play the cardinals on monday night football. they are coming in over a win on the seattle seahawks. >> they have got football fever and this time it is for american football. the patriots are taking on the rams at wimbley stadium. it is going to be played on british turf. they gathered for a fan rally as they get all excited. let's say they are doing their best to learn about the game. >> scores a touchdown. >> how many points do you get.

bringing big worries for a mega storm that could last a few days. >> here is the latest. storm tracker two. you can see heavier bands of rain. moving in along the coastline and it stretches from the all the way into new york. it will make landfall into tuesday morning and the track is right there between washington d.c. and new york. and it will continue inland. again, we are looking at a foot of rain in some spots. winds 60 to 80 miles an hour. and the storm surge is going to be large. a lot of snow for the higher elevations. it is expected to be a mess. coming back here at home. we have little to complain about. we are off to a cool to mild start. wide 50s. little bit of patchy fog near novato and half moon bay. >> it is a good looking start and good afternoon. widespread upper 60s and

workers out here and in the flat bed truck. that is the pop up stage that that big screen is going to sit on top. you will see construction has already started. >> we should see the stage. and the mobile stage. and it should be ready to start receiving video within the next two and a half hours. >> some fans with giants fever are here to get a front row seat and the brothers from union city have been here since midnight. they were here for the 2010 watch party also here at the plaza. they wanted to make sure they were back here tonight. >> it is insane. and it is an instant party in the streets. everyone was running around. banging on bus windows. it is crazy. >> madness. >> reporter: two years ago when they put up the screen, thousands of people showed up.

shot in the shoulder. >> they told ktvu, the shootings are related. there was a car full of military grade weapons in southern california. >> there is video of the arrest near san diego. investigators want to question 0-year-old david moore iii after he bought beer with a fake id and after he opened the trunk. they saw it was full of high powered guns. >> they found nine weapons including a mod fed sniper rifle. >> you don't know when something can happen. >> he could have went throughout the store instead of big beer. >> he received citations for alcohol and dui. and he could face charges for weapons. happening right now. people on the east coast are told to moved to higher ground as hurricane sandy barrels towards the states. >> new york's governor is

ordering suspension of transit service. we have our reporter live in delaware beach. peter? >> reporter: and here in delaware, the governor wants everyone out of areas like this by 8:00 tonight. so nine and a half hours from now. the governor said they should be out of here. they shouldn't start leaving by eight but be where they have to be by eight. the surf has been pretty big. like this. all day long. there is a lot of people taking pictures because it is so unusual not only for this part of the country. but for this time of the year. the rain has not started yet. but folks are coming here and the ones we talked to said they come down to take a few shots and they are going home to ride out the storm in safety or get out-of-town. the shelters open in an hour 25 minutes. we are told by the red cross,

there are three shelters. center all at schools. they have food. toiletries. bed. and emotional counselors on hand. >> they are telling us this could be the biggest of storm this area has seen. at least in the lifetimes of the residents. you can see down there, there is a big truck. they are coming in to take the heavy wooden beverages out. so no chance they will get blown away or washed away. we don't know how fast the wind is going to be. we don't know how high up the water is going to be. >> it is also a very, very strong storm. very windy. very cold and it is to be very wet. >> back to you. >> peter, thank you for the report. >> well, flight to the bay area have been canceled because of the storm. most of the flights are for later in the morning and throughout the night. if you do have a flight scheduled today. >> check the status of the flight before you go to the

lake in the sierra national forest. he was supposed to return home on thursday. california woman is recovering from a shark attack in maui. >> she was paddling to shore near mckenna beach. she was, she had puncture wound to her thigh and cuts to her hand. >> she is in stable condition. the woman said the shark was about 10 to 1 feet long. the attack shut down a mile long stretch of shoreline. >> while the united states is preparing for hurricane sandy. china is being, with a massive typhoon are battling the areas of the country. storm brought down trees and branches on top of homes. ferry services are suspended as a precaution. this sent protestors into the streets. they marched through madrid protesting tax hikes.
